Resonant Light
Solo Exhibition | 26 July - 20 August 2021
Tresillian Arts Centre
Resonant Light transforms the mundane of everyday spaces into dream-like urban visualisations. The exhibition is characterised by the multidimensional nature of the spaces we live in, where light determines our perception of the shapes that undulate around us each and every day. Resonant Light reacquaints the viewer with the beauty of the familiar that grows unseen over time. Sue’s approach to watercolour capitalises on the fluidity and unpredictability of the medium within the partially defined boundaries of realism.
Urban Spaces
Solo Exhibition | 27 July - 21 August 2020
Tresillian Arts Centre
Urban Spaces explores in Watercolour the built up urban environment we inhabit. We walk through these spaces amongst the myriad of images, surfaces that reflect light, transparency and movement.
The Looking Glass
Solo Exhibition | 29 July - 23 August 2019
Tresillian Arts Centre
This exhibition captures the essence of what we see through the looking glass: The simplicity of landscapes and everyday spaces communicated through light, shadow, colour and contrasts. In addition to framed paintings, this exhibition includes a selection of paintings completed En Plein Air.
Light and Shadows
Solo Exhibition | 27 August - 27 September 2018
Tresillian Arts Centre
The theme of light and shadows was explored through the lens of everyday interiors and how these personal spaces evoke stillness and a place of quiet contemplation. These spaces are full of dark corners with unknown boxes and disused items that present interesting shapes, textures and tones for the artistic eye.
